National Talk Like A Pirate Day.
Ahoy, me heartys!! I’m very excited about National Talk Like A Pirate Day. In fact I have been waiting a year to use (one of) my favourite jokes.
Q. Where do pirates buy a drink?
A. At the bAAAAAAAAAR!
It still makes me laugh. However, now I have revealed my questionable sense of humour there is a real point to all this. Charlestown harbour will be hosting celebrations by St. Austell pirate re-enactment group ‘The Pirates of St. Piran’ on the famous tall ships, embracing all that is pirate-y. There’s promise of sword fighting displays, historical information and to top it off some good old shanty singing.
So all you salty old seadogs take your sprogs or just yourselves along for a jolly swashbuckling time on the harbour on Saturday 19th in Charlestown or extend your stay and enjoy their dulcet tones from this picturesque cottage .
